Compton Parish Council wishes to express its deep sadness at the news of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. A life of service and loyalty with a deep respect for service to our nation, for the longest period of the reign of a British Monarch.

Rest in peace, Your Majesty.

For the whole Compton community, inclusive of all faiths and non-faith, a book of condolences for Queen Elizabeth II has been made available. It is being hosted within St Mary and St Nicholas Church, where there will also be an opportunity for the public to lay flowers, and, from early next week, to light a candle placed in a memorial votive stand.
The church expects to be open between 9 am and 6 pm each day.
