Please report all incidents/crimes and suspicious activity that you see happening to the Police. If it is happening at the time ring 999 or if you have information after the incident, please phone 101. You can now also report a crime, road traffic incident, lost/stolen/found items or vehicles and a missing person via the Thames Valley Police website: www.thamesvalley.police.uk After you send your report you will receive confirmation that it has been received by Thames Valley Police. They will contact you to explain how they are going to deal with your enquiry and aim to do this as soon as possible. All personal details sent using this service will be kept safe and are used for policing purposes only.

Please always report incidents to the Police and not just on Social Media.

Detailed below are various ways of reporting and checking on scams/fraud:
A new initiative called Cyberawaregov has launched SERS – the suspicious email reporting service. They say that if you have received an email which you are not sure about, to forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk Signs of a scam email include poor grammar, bad spelling or the senders use of an incorrect email address. There is further information on the website: www.ncsc.gov.uk/information/report-suspicious-emails

Also, the National Trading Standards Scams Team helps tackle mass marketing scams and investigates the operations of perpetrators behind mail scams. If you spot a scam, stop a scam by reporting it on 08082231133.
If you think you have been a victim of fraud you should report it to Action Fraud, the UK’s national fraud reporting centre by calling 0300 123 2040 or via their website: www.actionfraud.police.uk

Mobile phone users can now send a simple text message to opt out of unsolicited sales and marketing calls.
The 'text-to-register' service, launched by the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Ofcom, enables mobile phone users to add their number to the UK's official ‘do not call’ database by texting ‘TPS’ and their email address to 85095. It is illegal for organisations to make unsolicited sales and marketing calls to numbers registered with the TPS, unless they have a person’s consent to do so. Further details on this website: www.ofcom.org.uk/about-ofcom/latest/features-and-news/tps-text-service

You can report Spam Texts directly to your mobile phone provider. All operators now use 7726 as the short code to report spam texts and you can forward them free of charge. All of the UK’s mobile operators worked together to deploy a tool which collates all the information from the 7726 short code in real time. This means they can take early action to block numbers that are generating spam on their networks and also use this information to inform the regulators.
